What to expect with a MacroTourist subscription
The MacroTourist letter takes complicated investment topics and simplifies them into easily understandable explanations that will make you a better investor and trader. Whether it's vol-control funds, swap spreads, option positioning, or the effects of fiscal policy on the economy and markets — the 'tourist is there to provide a fresh take on the more complicated financial concepts.
Along the way, my three decades of trading experience offers unique ways to take advantage of markets. This isn't another letter where I breathlessly chase the hottest trend — but hopefully a deeper, more insightful study of how markets work and how we can position ourselves for the next moves.
The subscription consists of three parts.
The main MacroTourist letter
The most important part of the product — my take on whatever is moving markets, supported by graphs, charts, and quant-style analysis. There is no fixed schedule. When markets get quiet, the letter slows down. I won't write for the sake of writing.
'Tourist Private Feed Recap
A short email featuring charts I found interesting (with a bit of commentary) and a recap of the 'tourist chat. Lots of folks don't have time to participate live — this is the greatest-hits version, delivered to your inbox.
Watch Your Bids podcast
Not a typical podcast. Each week I pick the financial interview clips I found most enlightening, add some commentary, sometimes throw in market views — and always close with a song you (hopefully) haven't heard before.
Straightforward pricing.
No deals, no get-in-before-it's-too-late sales. If you sign up today, you won't find out someone paid less tomorrow.
Why Substack?
I have no staff to handle subscriptions. Substack is one of the leaders in subscription email — a trusted third party handles billing so I can focus on writing and your card data stays secure.
Paying by soft-dollars
If you or your firm prefers the old-fashioned method, send me an email at kevin@themacrotourist.com and I'll sort it out.
Where the site lives
Substack now handles both email and the post archive. Everything points to themacrotourist.substack.com.
No deals, no promotions
I don't like "deals". The letter offers great value and I keep it simple — no discounts, no fake urgency. Same price for everyone, every day.
Thanks for reading.
